Provide technical leadership for the production team. Responsibilities include providing documentation and floor support associated with safety, manufacturing and quality methods, tooling, and equipment. Aggressively initiate new processes and methods incorporating innovative manufacturing technology that will improve safety, reduce product cost and/or improve product quality.Job Description
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive improved product quality by identifying manufacturing issues, developing cost-effective solutions, and overseeing successful implementation into production or suppliers.
- Lead design requirement of manufacturing process, tools and equipment’s, design reviews and documentations.
- Design and manufacture Equipment’s Jigs and tools for manufacturing and suppliers to eliminate defects and/or lead design and implementation by external supplier.
- Train and qualify production and supplier team.
- Create maintenance instruction
- Work with Production Associates to resolve manufacturing and quality problems related to methods, processes, tooling, equipment and product design.
- Participate in new product introductions through process layout, tool development, and new equipment.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance through Validation & Verification - Plan execution and analysis.
- Co-ordination of manufacturing releases (ECO).
- Lead Compliance, as well as Environmental, Health & Safety efforts in support of plant goals
- Driving LEAN manufacturing implementation
Quality Specific Goals:
Aware of and comply with the GE HealthCare Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required Knowledge and understanding of document control, design transfer, verification, validation, acceptance activity, DMR, DHR and electronic signature requirements to ensure that product, equipment, tools, processes, software, training and documentation meet requirements.
Qualifications:
- B.S. Degree in mechanical Engineering
- Excellent, proven mechanical design capabilities and hands on.
- Good team worker in international teams
- Good analytical and planning skills
- Demonstrated ability to identify & implement best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to perform with high levels of ambiguity
- Project management experience
- Tools & JIGS development and implementation
- Microsoft office
- Solid works - optional
- Visio
- CAD – Optional
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Fluent English
