Lead Teacher for an English Language School in Haifa
Haifa’s largest and most successful English language school is seeking a Lead Teacher to manage our growing team of private teachers.
Speak Up English is a teacher-run, family-owned small business founded in 2013. Speak Up provides private and small-group English lessons to over 500 children ages 4-16 each week. We have a staff of over 30 teachers who provide both in-person lessons in Haifa and online lessons throughout the country.
In our classrooms, students receive high-quality, customized lessons that teach practical, spoken English and a love for the language through games and play.
Lead Teacher - Responsibilities
Supervising our teaching staff
Training new teachers in teaching methods, classroom management and lesson planning
Meeting with new students and parents to set individualised learning goals
Lead Teacher - Requirements
Native-level English, a must
Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English, a must
Conversational Hebrew, a must
Right to work in Israel, a must
5+ years experience working with K-6 age children, a must
Maturity, humility, strong work ethic, love of children and sense of humor, a must
Experience managing others, a plus
Experience in curriculum development, a plus
A degree in education or related field, a plus
Lead Teacher - Compensation
The job can be a part-time or full-time position and the exact hours can be flexible for the right person.
Depending on hours and experience, expect a starting salary of 6,000-10,000NIS per month, with annual raises, bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.

Part-time hours: 25-40 per week
Pay: 6,000.00₪ - 10,000.00₪ per month
